Job Title: Senior IT Consultant
Location: Atlanta, GA
Travel Required: Within Atlanta Area
Required Qualifications:
Good Communication Skills - Spoken and written English (including technical writing), Excellent demonstrated customer service skills, Bachelors degree. Five or more years experience in systems support, network operations, software support and/or IT consulting. Knowledge of Microsoft® Windows 2000/2003 Server and Microsoft server and client products. Strong knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec & Anti-virus products. Strong networking with a focus on cisco switches, routers and wireless products - CCDA or CCNA required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Eight or more years industry experience with Microsoft Server products, MCSE, CCNP/CCSP/CCDP preferred, knowledge of Linux or UNIX, knowledge of networking solutions, such as cisco products such as ACS, NAC, CiscoWorks, and other advanced technologies. Network Management System experience preferred, OpenNMS or NAGIOS experience would be ideal. Security experience a huge advantage for this position.
Roles and Responsibilities
Represent Sound Enterprises and communicate with corporate customers via telephone, written correspondence, electronic service and in person regarding finding solutions for technically complex problems in small and medium enterprises. Solve highly complex level of problems, involving broad, in-depth product knowledge or in-depth product specialty; may include multi-disciplinary solutions that require coordination across multiple teams.
Frequently, these problems will not only be technically complex, but will be politically charged situations requiring the highest level of customer skill.Responsible for efficiently managing the relationship with these customers and thoroughly documenting their cases.
Lead triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and develop customer solutions efficiently. Consistently shares best practices with team members. Act as technical resource for broad and complex issues, and may typically be assigned to strategic accounts Ability to develop and deliver "in depth" technical training to other engineers.
Write complex technical articles and sample programs for knowledge base.
